New Line Up

Earlier this year both Seb Kellig and David Preston announced their departure from MDH to concentrate on other projects. Tim has now put together a completely new line-up featuring Harry Stam (also of The Pacers) on bass and Tony Coote (also Cat Black, PP Arnold,) on drums.

Tim Briffa will be debuting his one man spoken word show entitled I F*cked Nicole Kidman’s *rse Double upstairs at the Wheatsheaf, 25 Rathbone Place, London W1T 1JB on Sat 2nd March. Tickets available here.

Tim Briffa will also be playing a brief spoken word/solo set at the Factory de Joie club night at Paper Dress Vintage, London E8 on Sat 16th March. Promises to be a good night, with sets from The Pacers (featuring MDH bassist Harry Stam,) the Blue Carpet Band, the Shadracks, DJs, go-go girls, burlesque dancers and other fun stuff.

A new page has also been added to this site entitled Timstuff where you can view other solo projects including his 2006 play ‘How To Pick Up Girls’ a couple of podcasts, some animations and a trailer for a short documentary on recording his translation of Jacques Brel’s Next/Au Suivant.

MDH are currently waiting on gigs to be confirmed. In the meantime here are some photos from the recent Star Shaped Festival at the Brixton Academy. (pics by and thanks to Mati White and Herman Pawellek.)
